I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and moved to Columbus in my 20's. I attended Ohio State, studied zoology, and graduated with an M.S.in Zoology. My careers began at Ohio State, and I first practiced yoga through the OSU Creative Arts Program, but didn't stick with it. Fast forward about 20 years, and see me getting down-sized and having a lot more time on my hands. I took a part-time job, and began practicing yoga again. A bad bicycle accident stopped me a few years later, but after PT, I started yoga yet again, and discovered yin yoga. This low and slow form of yoga was exactly what I needed to heal, stretch, and feel like my body belonged to me again! Following five years of practice, I earned my RYT-200 because I wanted to bring yoga, particularly yin yoga, to others. I have since been teaching yin (and other types) of yoga for 7 years, have continued my studies, and have grown in confidence and knowledge. I want to introduce yin yoga to you!
When I'm not "yoga-ing," I like reading, gardening, cooking, going to the movies, and traveling, sometimes with and sometimes without my dog, Sam.
